This one began with a conversation.

While looking for an authentic Kashmiri Kahwa, we didn’t want something simply labelled “Kashmiri.” We wanted to understand where it came from, what went into it, and most importantly — who was making it.

That search introduced us to a mother from Kashmir.

What started as conversations about Kahwa soon became conversations about family, food, ingredients and the little compromises mothers notice — even when nobody else does.

And somewhere in those conversations, we realised that although our kitchens were miles apart, our thinking was remarkably similar:

If we wouldn’t serve it to our own family, why would we sell it to yours?

When two mothers found the same purpose

At Herbs & Spices, our journey began with a mother searching for ingredients she could trust.

In Kashmir, we found another mother who understood exactly what that meant.

She introduced us to the traditions surrounding Kahwa, the ingredients that give it its distinctive warmth and aroma, and the importance of sourcing them carefully. We brought our own promise of purity, transparency and uncompromising quality.

That is where the synergy happened.

Our Kashmiri Kahwa is a fragrant blend built around green tea, saffron and warming spices, with ingredients such as cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and floral notes coming together to create a beautifully aromatic cup.

It is warm, lightly spiced and comforting — the kind of drink you want to sit with rather than simply finish.

And because this is an authentic-style blend, it contains sugar. We prefer telling you exactly what you are drinking rather than dressing it up with claims that don't belong.

How to prepare

Add approximately 3–5 g of Kashmiri Kahwa to a cup of hot water. Simmer or steep for around 3–5 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer it. Strain and enjoy warm. Garnish with sliced almonds if you like.
